Maintenance & Servicing - One of the most
overlooked aspects of having a computer is keeping it clean. Dirt and dust
clog fans and overheats computer components, causing well... a whole
lotta trouble.
Computer maintenance and cleaning is a very important part of
protecting the life of a computer. By being proactive, you can ensure that your
computer, an important asset to your organization, will live its fullest life.
In having maintenance and cleaning performed on your computer, you are choosing
to keep it continuously running as well as possible. When a PC is brought in to
ACS for service, our team of skilled professionals begins by running a routine
check on the system. This includes:
Making sure Microsoft Windows updates are current
Making sure Antivirus software is current and running
properly
Checking the PC for any viruses or spyware that may be
present
Cleaning out the inside of the PC to remove dust and dirt
that has built up around the PC’s protective cooling fan. Cleaning the
inside of the PC thoroughly and routinely is essential. If the inside is
not cleaned out, computer components that become overheated may cause severe
damage to your PC.
Analyzing the PC for any upgrades or repairs that may
need to be made, such as upgrading memory or replacing improperly running
fans.
If hardware shows signs of failure, we have the utilities
to run a diagnostic test on hard drives, memory, power supplies, and
processors.
How much will all this cost?
Home service rates begin
at $50 per hour unless on a Service or Maintenance plan.
Computer
repair service after 6pm and weekends may be billed at one and a half
times the regular hourly rate, unless you are on a monthly
maintenance package.
One hour minimum will be
charged for all service calls followed by billing in 1/4 hour increments.
Monthly Maintenance plans
begin at $45 per computer and accessories. Service contracts are only available within a 50 mile radius of Vernon.
